Argenta Contemporary Theatre Announces Staff Updates
Open to the Pubic, on November 20, the ACT is Celebrating ACT’s Past, Present, and Future
North Little Rock, Ark. (Nov. 17, 2025) – The Argenta Contemporary Theatre (ACT) announced two staff updates. Coburn Goss was named artistic director and Jeremy Williams will serve as executive director.
"Jeremy and Coby will strengthen ACT's mission to bring compelling, thought-provoking, and inspiring performances to the heart of our community,” said Christian Gwatney, secretary of the ACT Board. "With this expanded leadership, ACT will continue to grow and enrich the cultural life of North Little Rock and beyond.”
The new leadership changes at ACT will usher the theatre into a new, exciting chapter.
"Returning to North Little Rock feels both personal and full of promise,” said Williams. "I’m excited to partner with Coburn Goss and the ACT community to build on the strong foundation created here and keep ACT growing as a home for creativity, connection, and belonging."
"ACT hit the jackpot with Jeremy - he’s a proven leader in the nonprofit world as well as a dynamic theater artist. I’m thrilled he’ll join me to lead ACT’s next act,” said Goss.
Additionally, on Thursday, November 20, ACT will host "A New Act.” The special evening as will honor the past, celebrate the present, and look to the future. The evening will also include an exclusive preview of ACT’s 2026 Season, offering a first look at the exciting productions, programs, and community initiatives that will define the next chapter of ACT’s journey.

About Coburn Goss
Born and raised in North Little Rock, Coburn began his theater career interning at the Arkansas Repertory Theater. He has spent the last thirty years based in Chicago, working in theater, film and television. He has performed with the Steppenwolf Theater, Goodman Theater, Writers Theater, Timeline Theater, American Blues Theater, Next Theater, Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theater, and regionally with Asolo Repertory Theater and Seattle Repertory Theater. He is a founding member of the Jeff-award winning Irish Theater Company of Chicago, where he produced, directed and acted in numerous productions. ITC also produced his play “Marked Tree” (American Theater Critics Association’s Osborn Award for best new work). Some favorite roles include C.S. Lewis in the long-running “Freud’s Last Session” (CRC Productions/Mercury Theater), John Proctor in “The Crucible” (Asolo Rep), and the world premieres of “Vigils” and “The Crowd You’re in With” (Goodman). His film credits include “Adult Children”, “Widows”, “Man of Steel”, “Batman v. Superman”, “The Lucky Ones”, “What Women Want”, “Once Upon a River” and “Joshua”. He wrote and produced the film “All Happy Families”. Television credits include: “Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire”, “NeXt”, “The Red Line”, “Empire”, “Boss”, “ER”, “The Chicago Code”, “The Mob Doctor”, “The Chi”, “Reconstruction”, “Prison Break”. He has also worked extensively as a commercial and voice over actor, appearing in campaigns for Humira, Toyota, McDonald’s, Exxon, Illinois Lottery, Nyquil, Alzheimer’s Association, Northern Trust Bank, United Airlines, among others. As an acting and theater instructor, he has taught at the Acting Studio of Chicago, Roosevelt University, the National High School Institute at Northwestern University and DePaul University.
About Jeremy Williams:
Jeremy Williams is a multi-disciplinary artist, producer, and nonprofit leader with more than 30 years of experience in professional theatre, education, and community-rooted arts practice. He has worked extensively across the United States and internationally as a director, choreographer, playwright, educator, and consultant, with a focus on collaboration, equity, and cultural relevance. Jeremy is the Founder and Producing Director of Convergences Theatre Collective, a cross-disciplinary company known for innovative performance, artist residencies, and community engagement. His creative work has been presented Off-Broadway, regionally, and on tour, and his career includes large-scale community initiatives and long-term partnerships with cultural institutions, foundations, and service organizations.Born and raised in North Little Rock, Jeremy’s leadership is grounded in the belief that storytelling and shared imagination are essential tools for transformation—onstage, in the classroom, and within organizations. He is widely recognized for his skill in guiding organizations through periods of transition and growth, designing impactful residencies, and building sustainable systems that honor both artistic rigor and community care. In addition to his artistic and producing work, Jeremy has served in senior leadership and consulting roles for a range of nonprofit organizations, where he has developed curricula, facilitated strategic planning, led cross-sector partnerships, and designed evaluation frameworks rooted in learning, impact, and relationship-building. As Executive Director of Argenta Contemporary Theatre, Jeremy brings a deep commitment to hospitality, transparency, and shared leadership—along with a lifelong passion for making the arts accessible, meaningful, and transformative for all.
