The Plays Continue in October
The Showcase may be over, but these six new Arkansas plays are just beginning their next chapter. This October, ACT will publish the Next ACT | Vol. 1A Journal of New Works from Argenta Contemporary Theatre
Discover eight original 10-minute plays by Arkansas playwrights in the first edition of Next ACT, Argenta Contemporary Theatre’s digital literary magazine dedicated to new works for the stage. This inaugural volume features the six plays selected for the 2026 ACANSA / ACT 10 Min Play Showcase, plus two Honorable Mention selections. Each play is presented in full, along with playwright information and performance-rights details for theatres, directors, educators, actors, and producers interested in bringing the work to the stage.
Next ACT was created to help new Arkansas plays move beyond their first reading or performance and find their next audience, classroom, artist, or production.
