First things first: we’re excited to see you! Our casting team wants you to have a great audition and, most importantly, wants to discover what makes you you.
A Few Tips Before You Walk in the Room
Come prepared. Check the audition page for exactly what to prepare, and choose material that lets you feel confident and do your best work.
Show us YOU. We want to see your unique talents, personality, and point of view—not who you think we want you to be.
Stay open and play. We may ask you to try something differently. That’s a good thing! Have fun with it.
Don’t worry about perfect. We’re interested in you as an artist, not a flawless audition.
Remember: everyone behind the table wants you to succeed.

Casting for 2027—and Beyond
Argenta Contemporary Theatre’s 2027 General Auditions will take place Sunday, October 4 and are open to adult performers ages 18+. We’ll be casting available roles across our 2027 season, and we’ve posted character breakdowns for all currently available adult roles.
Don’t see yourself in one of the roles? Audition anyway!
Our General Auditions are about more than casting our season. Throughout the year, ACT creates additional artistic programming and performance opportunities. Generals give us a chance to meet new artists, reconnect with artists we already know, and discover performers for opportunities throughout the year.

Please complete the audition form in advance. Walk-ups on October 4 will be seen only if time allows.
Youth auditions are not part of the October 4 General Auditions and will be announced separately at a later date.
