ACTing Up 2026 Registration

ACTing Up 2026 invites young artists to spend three unforgettable weeks training, creating, and collaborating across three exciting program tracks: Musical Theatre featuring a production of Frozen Jr., Acting for Stage & Film, and Design & Production. Classes are 8:10 AM - 2:55 PM Monday through Friday June 8 - 26.

This summer, ACTing Up is staying cool with Disney’s Frozen Jr.! Over three exciting weeks, students will rehearse songs, choreography, and scenes as they bring this beloved story to life. Led by Director Chris Klinger, Music Director Angela Bloodworth-Collier, and Choreographer Katie Greer, students will build skills, confidence, and ensemble as they prepare for a final performance.

What’s the difference between performing for a live audience and acting on camera? In this three-week track, students explore both, building skills in presence, authenticity, and storytelling. Students train with Arkansas native Mary Hollis Inboden (American Princess, The Real O’Neals, The Righteous Gemstones) and, in the final week, apply their work by creating an original short film with Arkansas filmmaker Corbin Pitts.

Explore how theatre comes to life through design and production in this hands-on track for ages 14–18. Students dive into scenic design, lighting, costumes, props, and sound while learning how each element helps tell a story on stage. Led by Miranda Young-Rice and Jeremy Williams, this three-week experience blends creativity and technical skill, culminating in an original shadow puppet performance and a student-designed project.

Join us for a summer of imagination, skill-building, and community!

Open to students ages 8–18 (rising 3rd–12th graders), with the Design & Production track limited to high school students ages 14+, ACTing Up offers a supportive and energizing environment for performers and creators at every level.
